We recently ran into some major issues with the Sitecore search platform—system errors and weird behavior that really threw things off. It was a big deal since this hit our production environment and completely stalled our development and deliveries.
What Went Wrong
Turns out, Sitecore's team found the problem: an internal deduplication flag meant for Commerce Domains was messing with the search domains. This flag was causing all sorts of errors and glitches.
How It Got Fixed
Sitecore updated their logic to make sure this flag no longer interferes with search domains. They rolled out the fix and confirmed everything is good to go in production.
The Result
The errors are gone, and the search platform is back to running smoothly. Sitecore assured us this fix is permanent, so we shouldn’t have to worry about it happening again.
